Recognising the needs of other start-up and small businesses we provide simple services while looking for other avenues to be of help. Worthing CVS (Council for Voluntary Service) Hosted a talk and Q&A with Sussex PCC Katy Bourne, Adur and Worthing Chief Inspector Jo Banks, County Councillor Christine Field, Safer Communities Manager Jacqui Cooke, Better Communities Manger Emily King, Miriam Wilkinson & Julia Carrette from CVS Worthing.

'Come along and engage in a question time and debate with Katy Bourne, the new Police & Crime Commissioner for West Sussex and other agencies in the Community Safety field.
Purpose of the Event:

• To enable charities, voluntary and community organisations to understand the role of the PCC and her priorities for the community safety agenda, and obtain information on current initiatives including the new Police & Crime budget.

• Brief the PCC about the ways in which the work of the VCS can support the community safety agenda

• Share information and learning about initiatives, and resourcing that will enable effective investment and partnership working between the VCS and the PCC'

The Worthing Fair Trade Steering Group have a link with a farmers cooperative in Ghana, West Africa and the Konya Primary School from that area. Local Worthing Schools have also taken part, artworks have been sent in for the competition and will be on display at St Pauls for a fortnight between Monday 25 February to Sunday 10 March 2013!
Three art judges came to choose the winners: David Freud, Jimmy Pearson, Roland Bird.
Thanks to The Co-operative Group, The St Pauls Art Centre and all the children who entered the competition.

Adur & Worthing Councils, working with the local community, are keen to restore Homefield Park to its former glory as 'The People's Park' of Worthing, with a first stage Heritage Lottery bid being submitted in February 2013.
